About 1 page single-spaced or 2 pages double-spaced in a 12pt font.
How many pages is 2,000 words?
About 4 pages single-spaced or 8 pages double-spaced in a 12pt font.
How many words are on a page?
A single-spaced page holds about 500 words in 12pt Arial and about 550 in Times New Roman. Double spacing halves that to about 250 words. Bigger fonts, wide fonts like Verdana and headings all reduce the number.
How accurate is this?
It’s a good estimate for plain paragraphs. Headings, short paragraphs, lists, images and dialogue take more room, so real documents often run a little longer.
Does A4 or US Letter make a difference?
Only slightly. A4 is a little taller and narrower than US Letter, so the number of words per page is almost the same.
