How to change text case

Which case should I use?
- Sentence case for headings, buttons and emails. It’s the easiest to read, and many style guides, including the UK government’s, use it for headings.
- Title Case for the titles of books, films, songs and articles.
- UPPERCASE for short labels and acronyms only. Whole sentences in capitals are harder to read and can come across as shouting.
- camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case for names in code, file names and web addresses.

What is title case?
Title case capitalises the main words of a heading, like The Lord of the Rings. Short words such as “a”, “and”, “of” and “the” stay lowercase unless they’re the first or last word. Acronyms like NASA and names like iPhone are left as they are.
What is the difference between sentence case and title case?
Sentence case capitalises only the first word of each sentence (and the word “I”), the way you’d write normal text. Title case capitalises most words and is used for headlines and titles. Many style guides, including the UK government’s, prefer sentence case for headings because it’s easier to read.
Can I convert only part of my text?
Yes. Select the part you want to change and press a case button. Only the selection is converted. You can also press Ctrl+Z (or ⌘Z) to undo a conversion.
What are camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case?
They’re naming styles used in programming. camelCase joins words with capitals (userName), PascalCase capitalises every word (UserName), snake_case uses underscores (user_name), kebab-case uses hyphens (user-name), and CONSTANT_CASE is snake_case in capitals (USER_NAME). Each line is converted separately.
How do I fix text typed with Caps Lock on?
Paste it in and choose Sentence case. Everything becomes lowercase except the start of each sentence and the word “I”. You may need to re-capitalise names afterwards.
