Frequently asked questions
How do I remove duplicate lines?
Paste your list with one item per line. Duplicates are removed straight away and the first copy of each line is kept, in its original position. Tick Ignore capitals if “Apple” and “apple” should count as the same.
How do I sort a list alphabetically?
Paste your list and choose A → Z. Numbers are sorted the way people expect, so “item 2” comes before “item 10”. Capitals and accents don’t change the order.
How do I find which lines are duplicated?
Tick Only show duplicated lines. The result lists each line that appears more than once, so you can see what was repeated.
Can I randomise the order of a list?
Yes. Choose Shuffle to put the lines in a random order, and Shuffle again for a new one. It’s handy for picking winners or making random groups.
Is there a limit on how many lines I can paste?
No fixed limit. Lists with tens of thousands of lines work quickly, because everything runs on your own device.
Is my list private?
Yes. Everything happens in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
